Arrival from the Sudan
Two weeks ago 5 Sudaneese men arrived here in Meru. They came to be mentored and trained in Neema Bible College. One of them is finishing his last couple of courses and will graduate from Neema in Kitale Kenya on the 24th of July 2010. The other 4 are beginning students. There is even another man coming from the Sudan and he is on the way to Meru even today the 14th of June. All of these men are refugees from the war torn country of Southern Sudan. And they have come to as it says in Romans 12:2 renew their minds. Each of these men have belonged to the Anglican churches in the Sudan. They have come to hear the "almost to good to be true news" of the unconditional love of God for us! The men have lived under such harsh conditions and lived much of their lives in war. But they have decided to lay down their lives for the Gospel and return to Southern Sudan and preach the Good News that God loves you and there is nothing you can do to change that!!!!!
Now to say that Pat and myself are excited about them being here is an understatement. Them coming is an answer to prayer and is yet another chapter in the vision that God has given us here at Heart of God Kenya. And that is to reach the many nations for Jesus and in this case specifically; the SUDAN!!!! A couple of months after arriving in Kenya in 2002 God started to reveal to me that we would be ministering in the Sudan someday and would take the Good News there. Well Now is the start of that time. And we will be not only reaching the unreached, but also the Christian who does not know their authority. And also the Muslims of that land. God had given me a great desire to reach the Muslim world and these men coming from the Sudan has opened that door there in a very real way. God is amazing in that even though I have personally not yet even so much as stepped a foot in the Nation of Sudan, God has his ways of accomplishing his will Thank you Jesus that He is always faithful even when we do not see the How's and the When and the Why's.
So we have begun teaching them each day and will accelerate the School so as to allow them to return to the Sudan sooner. Our course normally take 18 months.
Thank you for your prayers for these men as we begin yet another journey in God's plans for Heart of God Kenya and for these men.
I PROMISE TO POST PICTURES SOON OF THESE MEN FROM THE SUDAN
