As the 4th son of a widow, his mama allowed him to stop attending school and just wander the streets during the day. Elijah was placed in a foster home but continued to skipped school to join the other boys on the streets. Then Elijah was brought to us in the summer of 2007. His four brothers live with their mama but she refuses to take Elijah. Naturally this is extremely difficult for him so we took him to see his mama where she sold fruit every few weeks. Then in April Elijah came home from the market hysterical because his mama told him that she was moving and would no longer see him. Now he was devastated thinking he would NEVER see his mama again. She has come since then, promising to take him. Earlier this year Elijah asked Jesus to be Lord of his life and is learning to trust in Him.
