Winning is not an option to Ken! It was survival! Highly competitive, Ken was out to prove that he was #1. Tossed from family to family Ken survived the by proving his value. When His parents died and his older brothers were scattered, Ken became the village’s stray dog that no one really wanted. When we went to get him, Ken’s eyes got as big as saucers as he saw all the cars, trucks, and shops in Meru. . Everything was so different from his mud-hutted village. The first time his anger exploded, he ran but this time he got lost amidst all the crowds and traffic of Meru.. Mike found him bewildered and ready to come home. Since then Ken has gradually calmed down and settled into the routine of family life. Ken enjoys school and is quickly catching up. Yes he is still highly competitive and explosive at times, but the promise that “love never fails” (I Corinthians 13:8) has once again proven the faithfulness of God’s Word.
