When her mama died, 10 year old Lydia was forced to take over responsibility for her two younger stepbrothers. She not only cooked their food but had to find the whisky we call it in America. Soon he started sexually abusing her. So Lydia ran with her brothers to their aunt’s house. The aunt placed them in an orphanage where at last they were safe. However funding for the orphanage stopped and the children found themselves back at home with their father. The head master of the village school asked us at Heart of God to take Lydia away from the step-father. Lydia is growing into a beautiful young lady with the confidence that God has a plan for her life. Her face glows as she leads us in praising Jesus because she knows that God is truly a God of love and restoration.
